Description
TB-500, also known as synthetic Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), is the laboratory-synthesized version of the naturally occurring Thymosin beta-4 protein, encoded by the TMSB4X gene and abundant in thymus cells. TB-500 is a 43-amino-acid peptide that is highly soluble in water and lightweight, making it suitable for research applications. It is found naturally in wound fluid and blood platelets, where it is implicated in cellular repair, tissue regeneration, and angiogenesis.
Research suggests that TB-500 may support wound healing, anti-inflammatory responses, hair growth, and neurological repair, with potential activity in tissues including the spinal cord, heart, and epidermis.
Overview
TB-500 contains a key functional segment, LKKTETQ (residues 17–23), which is considered critical for actin binding, cell migration, and tissue repair. By interacting with globular actin (G-actin), TB-500 may inhibit its polymerization into filamentous actin (F-actin), a process known as actin sequestration, which increases the pool of available G-actin. This modulation of the cytoskeleton can influence cell movement, shape, and regenerative capacity, processes essential for wound healing, tissue regeneration, and potentially cancer metastasis.
TB-500 also exhibits extracellular activity, as it has been detected in plasma and wound exudates. In vascular and other cell types, it may promote angiogenesis and cellular motility, potentially through interactions with ATP synthase enzymes on the cell surface, which are involved in energy production. These findings suggest that TB-500 may act both intracellularly and extracellularly, supporting broad regenerative and reparative processes.

Storage & Molecular Integrity
Peptides are highly specific amino acid chains with delicate molecular structures. To maintain maximum biological activity and prevent degradation or aggregation (“gelation”), strict adherence to the following storage protocol is required:
- Total Light Protection
Peptides are photosensitive. Store reconstituted vials in complete darkness. We recommend wrapping the vial in aluminum foil or using an opaque storage case. - Refrigeration Required (35°F–46°F)
After reconstitution, store vials in the back of the refrigerator. Do not store in the refrigerator door, as temperature fluctuations may compromise stability. - Zero Agitation Policy
Do not shake the vial. When reconstituting, allow bacteriostatic water to flow gently down the inside wall of the vial. Swirl slowly only if necessary. Excess agitation may damage peptide structure and reduce effectiveness.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Failure to follow proper storage procedures may result in loss of potency and reduced performance.
